Today's Search Engines
Google
Google was originally a Stanford University
project by students Larry Page and Sergey Brin named BackRub.
By 1998, the name had been changed to Google, but has rapidly
become the most popular search engine favoured by savvy web
users due to the speed and accuracy of results produced.
The project became the private company Google.
It remains privately held today.
